Raw Brownie Bites

Oh my goodness. I can’t get over how delicious these little brownies are. My Naturopath gave me a recipe for seed ‘snack balls’ recently, which inspired me to create my own version.

They were supposed to serve as a travel snack tomorrow, but I think they’ll be demolished by then. You know those two bite brownies? They’re just like that… except… not gross.

Raw Brownie Bites
Makes 8-10
In a food processor, combine:

 12 pitted mejool dates
1/3 cup raw sunflower seeds
2 tbsp cacao powder (or cocoa)
1 tbsp hemp protein (I love Manitoba Harvest Hemp Pro 50)
2 tsp ground flax seeds
1-2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp sea salt

 Blend until it looks like this:

 Then roll into balls. Or shape into a brownie? Yes! Man I’m a genius. Store in the fridge for up to a week.

 I made another version too:

Sweet ‘n Salty Bites
Makes 8-10

12 mejool dates
1/3 cup raw pumpkin seeds
2 tsp ground flax seeds
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp sea salt
1-2 tsp vanilla extract


 I hope airport security doesn’t confiscate them, otherwise I’ll to be forced to smuggle them… in my stomach.
