Travel Fun

I’m really fortunate to live near the Rockies. During the summer months (and sometimes winter!) it’s my go-to destination for fun, fitness and great dining. My perfect day consists of warm sunny weather,  hiking a mountain trail, a picnic lunch near a glacial lake then unwinding on a patio with an ice cold beer.

Here are a few links with highlights from a few fun-filled ‘mountain’ activities featured in Southern Alberta.

As much as I love the Canadian Rockies, my happy place is Hawaii. The Aloha has had such an impact on my heart and spirit. In winter/spring 2012, my  husband and I spent five weeks in a rural setting of the Big Island. For the most part, we were away from tourists, city amenities and resorts.
